Journal Entry #002 – The Journey Becomes Real

A few weeks ago, we reached one of the biggest milestones in this adventure.

I met with our landlord and a planning consultant to share the vision for The Jungle Experience and ask the many questions I had about planning permission, change of use and how we could transform the existing barns into a wildlife conservation and education centre.

I'm pleased to say the meeting went incredibly well.

The consultant understood exactly what we're trying to achieve and has now started preparing our planning application for the change of use and the next stages of the project.

It might not sound as exciting as building enclosures, but this is the moment the dream starts becoming something real.

There is still a long journey ahead. Planning, fundraising, construction and plenty of hard work all stand between us and opening the doors.

But every expedition begins with a single step...
