About the Event
Hosted by Jungle Lifeline CIC, Louie: Voice for the Wild is set to be UK’s first immersive rainforest conservation event — a family-led celebration of wildlife, sustainability, and positive change.
Set within the beautiful natural surroundings of Umberslade Adventure in the West Midlands, this one-of-a-kind event invites families to step into a living rainforest world, discover ethical and sustainable brands, enjoy creative workshops, and be inspired by Louie the Orangutan — the world’s first fully flanged part animatronic part costume Orangutan conservation ambassador.
To keep the event accessible to as many families as possible, entry operates on a pay-what-you-want basis, with a minimum ticket price of £1. This approach allows families to choose what they can afford, while helping us manage visitor numbers and support the delivery of the event and the wider conservation and education work of Jungle Lifeline CIC.
Tickets are limited and required for entry, enabling us to carefully plan the day, manage capacity, and ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for all visitors.
Our Mission
This isn’t just an event —
Louie Voice for the Wild brings together families, schools, and eco-focused organisations to raise awareness of endangered rainforests, ethical palm oil, and sustainable living.
In partnership with the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), the event will highlight how small choices — like supporting certified sustainable palm oil — can have a big impact on orangutans and rainforests across the world.

What to Expect
Visitors will enjoy a full day of family-friendly activities that educate, inspire, and entertain:
-
Ethical Invertebrate Encounters – Meet incredible mini-beasts and discover their vital role in the rainforest.
-
Sustainable Palm Oil Discovery Zone – Learn how RSPO certification protects wildlife and forests.
-
Eco-Market Stalls – Explore sustainable brands, local artisans, and ethical businesses.
-
Rainforest Crafts & Workshops – Hands-on fun for children and families.
-
“Rhythm of the Rainforest” African Drum Workshop – Feel the heartbeat of the wild in this lively, interactive experience celebrating global rainforest culture.
At the heart of it all, Louie the Orangutan will take centre stage — sharing stories, sparking smiles, and reminding us all to be a voice for the wild.

Drumming Workshop
We’re excited to announce that DrumLove will be hosting our live drumming workshop at Louie: Voice for the Wild!
This interactive workshop will bring the woodland to life with rhythm and sound, creating an incredible atmosphere that pulls everyone together. From deep, heartbeat-like drums echoing through the trees to uplifting, high-energy beats, the session will invite children and adults alike to join in, feel the rhythm, and become part of the experience.
Drumming has a powerful way of connecting people to nature, movement, and emotion – perfectly reflecting the spirit of the rainforest and the message behind Louie’s conservation story. Whether you’re watching, clapping along, or taking part hands-on, we believe this workshop will add an unforgettable sense of energy, unity, and celebration to the event.
Watch this space – we’ll be announcing full details very soon.
RSPO Sustainable Palm Oil Discovery Zone
We’re proud to be creating a dedicated RSPO Sustainable Palm Oil Discovery Zone at Louie: Voice for the Wild – a space designed to inform, inspire, and empower families to make positive choices for the planet.
This interactive zone will be filled with engaging information about the work of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and the vital role sustainable palm oil plays in protecting rainforests and the wildlife that depends on them, including orangutans.
Families will be able to explore RSPO educational resources and worksheets, making it easy for children to understand where everyday products come from and how simple choices can make a real difference. From spotting sustainable palm oil labels to learning why palm oil itself isn’t the problem – but how it’s produced matters – the Discovery Zone aims to clear up common misconceptions in a fun and accessible way.
You’ll also find practical tips and ideas on how we can all be more sustainable in our daily lives, from shopping habits and food choices to small lifestyle changes that collectively have a big impact.

The Eco Market
Louie: Voice for the Wild will also feature a carefully curated Eco & Sustainable Market, bringing together independent sellers who share a passion for protecting the planet.
This market will showcase a range of environmentally responsible, planet-friendly products, from plastic-free alternatives and ethical gifts to sustainable homeware, natural wellbeing products, eco-art, and conservation-inspired creations. Each trader will be chosen for their commitment to sustainability, ethical sourcing, and mindful production.
The Eco Market offers visitors the chance to shop with purpose, supporting small independent businesses while discovering practical ways to reduce their environmental footprint. It’s a space to explore ideas, ask questions, and find inspiring alternatives to everyday products — all in a relaxed, family-friendly setting.
By combining conservation storytelling, education, and ethical shopping, the market forms an important part of the event’s wider mission: showing that positive change can start with the choices we make every day.
Meet Louie
One of the most unforgettable parts of Louie: Voice for the Wild is meeting Louie the Orangutan himself.
Louie will be appearing at set times throughout the day, giving everyone the chance to meet him up close, say hello, and grab a memorable selfie. By hosting Louie in short sessions, we can make sure as many families as possible get to enjoy this special experience while keeping things relaxed and welcoming.
Louie isn’t just a photo opportunity — he’s a powerful voice for the rainforest. As the world’s first fully flanged animatronic orangutan conservation ambassador, Louie helps start important conversations about deforestation, palm oil, and protecting wildlife, all in a way that children and families can connect with.
Louie is already making waves nationally, having appeared on ITV, with another appearance soon to be aired on a popular national TV programme. We’re incredibly proud to be bringing him to this event, right here in our local community.
Whether it’s your child’s first encounter with rainforest conservation or a moment that sparks a lifelong love for wildlife, meeting Louie is an experience that stays with you long after the day ends.
